
The intended audience for this course is neuroimaging scientists at all career stages who are interested in applying state-of-the-art analysis methods for structural MR data in their own research:
Participants should have initial experience in working with MRI data.
During the course, participants will be provided with workstations, software, and materials for the lectures and practical exercises.
There is no need to bring individual devices or datasets, and support for these may be limited during the course.
Registration for the 2026 course will open on July 1, 2026, at the latest, and will close on September 22, 2026, or when all spots are filled, whichever is earlier.
Late registrations after September 22, 2026, may be accepted, but this cannot be guaranteed.
The course fee is EUR 250. This covers the scientific lectures and practial sessions, course materials, rental hardware, and catering during the course (lunch, coffee breaks, reception on the first day, dinner at the second day of the course). Payments can be made via credit cards, PayPal, or bank transfer.

We will send a confirmation email immediately after your registration. Registration will only be complete, and participation in the course will only be possible, after we have received your payment. We reserve the right to cancel registrations with overdue payments.
The capacity of the course is limited, and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If the capacity is exceeded, a waiting list will be maintained.
If you need to cancel your participation please let us know as soon as possible. An 80% partial refund (EUR 200; course fee minus EUR 50 administrative charge) will be made for cancellations until September 22, 2026, and no refunds can be made after September 22, 2026. It is always possible to name another person who attends the course instead.
Participation in the course requires acceptance of the DeepMI FastSurfer / FreeSurfer course rules , the DZNE event rules, and the DZNE regulations on data protection.
The organizers reserve the right to make minor adjustments to the program and schedule, and to cancel the course if a minimum number of participants is not met; this will be communicated on September 23, 2026, at the latest, and full refunds of course fees will be made in this case. Travel or accommodation costs cannot be reimbursed. Making travel and accommodation arrangements with a cancellation option is therefore recommended.
